What does the free Starter plan include?

The Starter plan is completely free with no credit card required. It includes:
- Up to 5 solar analysis projects
- Full NASA POWER solar data access (GHI, DNI, DHI, peak sun hours)
- 50,000 AI tokens per month for the AI Assistant
- Site Studio access (limited sessions)
- Basic project dashboard

The Starter plan is ideal for individual homeowners evaluating their property or solar professionals doing occasional analyses.

What's included in the Pro plan?

Pro plan includes everything in Starter plus:
- Unlimited solar analysis projects
- 500,000 AI tokens per month (10× Starter)
- PDF report generation and download
- Priority data processing
- Extended Site Studio sessions
- Email support with 24-hour response SLA

Pro is designed for solar installers, consultants, and developers who need unlimited projects and professional reporting.

How long is the free trial?

Every new SolarScope account receives a 14-day free trial of Pro plan features automatically. No credit card is required to start. During the trial, you have full access to unlimited projects, 500,000 AI tokens, and PDF reports.

After 14 days, your account automatically moves to the Starter plan. Your existing projects and data are fully preserved. You can upgrade to Pro at any time to restore unlimited access.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes. Upgrade from Starter to Pro at any time from your Account Settings. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrading from Pro to Starter takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain Pro access for the remainder of the paid period.

Is there an annual billing option?

Yes, annual billing is available at a significant discount compared to monthly billing. Annual plans are billed once per year. Contact support or see the pricing page at solarscope.io/features for current annual pricing.

What is the refund policy?

SolarScope offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on Pro and Premium subscriptions. If you're not satisfied for any reason within 30 days of your first payment, contact support for a full refund. Refunds after 30 days are handled on a case-by-case basis.

To request a refund, email support with your account email and reason for the refund request.

Is there a plan for teams or organizations?

SolarScope supports organizational accounts that allow multiple team members to access shared projects. Contact support or see the organization features page for details on team pricing.

Are there discounts for educational institutions or nonprofits?

SolarScope offers discounts for universities, research institutions, and qualified nonprofits working on solar access or energy equity initiatives. Contact support with your organization details to inquire about discounted rates.
